Fair Play System

A lot of alliances claim that they play fair and they do not believe in trophy dumping, but the fact is most of the players who have reached rank 1 till date have done it so by trophy dumping only.  That is also one of the main reasons why they cannot retain their rank 1 for much longer as players from other alliances will focus attack them and drop their trophies.

 

One of the biggest flaws with the system of able to search names and do attacks is that it affects the medal and trophy count of players (attackers and defenders).  This system allows people to deliberately lose their trophies on a base (trophy dumping), which basically kills the competition among skilled players as this system makes it nearly impossible for skilled players (not in top ranking alliances) to reach top ranks and retain those rank solely based on skills in offense/defense.

 

Another issue with this system is that it creates tension among many players of top level alliances. Many alliances have truce among themselves which avoids their players to attack players from their friend alliance. The reason is same, they don’t want its members to loose trophies and any attack from friendly alliance is considered as breach of trust.

 

A very simple solution to this problem could be that trophy and medal count should only be affected (for both attacker and defender) when the attacks are made through match maker.  Any attacks done through any other means (searching names, war season etc.) should not affect the trophy and medal count.  The attacker should be able to gain skulls and gold through attacks make through searching or war season.

 

About revenge attacks, if a player-1 has attacked player-2’s base (through match-maker), then player-2’s 1st attack should be allowed to make changes in trophy/medal count (for both Player-1 and Player-2).  If the player-2 can defeat player-1 in 1st attack, he can gain trophies, if he loses in 1st attempt, player-2 will lose trophies as normal match making rules. Any attack onward should not affect the trophy count of either players.  This is basically to allow players to take actual revenge and give one chance to regain their lost trophies back/make their opponent pay for attacking their base. Any attempt onward (after 1st attack) should not be counted in trophy and medal count on either players as player-2 has lost his 1 chance to take revenge. 

 

This will make it really hard to dump or strip trophies in high ranking game play. Also alliances won’t have to worry anymore about being attacked by their friendly alliance members as they know for sure that any attack that affects their trophy and medal count can only be done through match making only.   Players will not lose their trophies even if their base gets spammed during war season by enemy alliances.

Antwood I agree with all you said, but don’t see why medals need to be included, make it for trophies only, there is no stripping in terms of medals, they stay pretty much consistent as they are based on base stats, then if players want to attack not via MM for medals to win leagues etc they still can.

 

Ya, medals can be excluded.  Many people might want to drop their medal count by opening their bases. I included medal counts couz I didn’t know if trophy count was depending on medal count for its calculations (while earning trophy through defense).
