New troop - Magician

A human looking wizard in a suit or robes. Shoots lightning from his wand and has an energy bar that when filled casts shield on those around him.
Morale cost - 5
Health - Starts at 700 Maxes at 3,200
Range - 4.0
Damage - Starts at 400 Maxes at 1,100
Attack Rate - 1
Speed - 1.5
Shield - Starts at 400 Maxes at 1,100
Shield Rate - 6
Shield Range - 4.0
Resistance to lightning 200%
Resistance to fire 50%
Resistance to poison 50%
Weakness to normal damage 50%
Weakness to blunt 50%
Lightning stroke affects all within range in a straight line, but does not cause electrocution.

  1. Damage
  2. Shield strength
  3. Poison resistance

Rune
More health
Sixth level special - “The Wizard” Regenerates himself fully when shield is activated.

When I reached this part I could only think: “Necromancer”.

Sorry, but this looks too close to the Necromancer unit :confused:

Do you use necromancer as an attacking troop?
If not, then what troop do you use that attacks with lightning?
He is just the male counterpart to the necro, I guess.
Anyways, just an idea.

Yeah, thinking about it I will have to agree with you. He is a little to much like the necromancer.
Maybe switching the lighting attack of his wand for a more random seeming effect like;
Attack rate - 0.5
Fear 25% range - 3.5
Confusion 15% range - 2.5
Translocation 05% range - 1.0
Heal friendly troops 15% range 3.0
With multiple effects possible.

Healing power - Starts at 300 maxes at 1,200

He would do no damage to enemies or troops so the forging option to improve his damage might instead increase his speed.

Resistance to lightning 100%
Resistance to fire 50%
Resistance to poison 50%
Weakness to normal damage 50%
Weakness to blunt 50%

I was looking for a way to suggest an alternative lightning attack, that is how I thought of him. Just now, I was thinking why don’t we simply have an electric damage spell? So I posted it.
