Have toyed with idea before, but reaction to latest update has reintroduced it:
What if Flare did a “town hall” periodically (e.g. Once a month)?
This would be an open Flare/player forum where any statements about the game around just-issued/forthcoming updates or special issues (e.g. Ploughing) flare wanted to issue could be given.
Then prepared and live Q&A could be done with questions posed via moderator (to prevent a crazy free-for-all and to curate for those topics players are most concerned with). For sake of simplicity, wouldn’t have to be video, but could do via chat instead.
It seems like this would get players a lot of timely feedback on issues they care about most, would be an important pressure-valve release for player frustrations, and would really help mend/improve Dev/player relations by lessening the reputation Flare is non-communicative and disinterested in player input.
Yes/No? Thoughts? If anything, it’s a huge improvement over what we have now and the technology needed to support the idea is there (and has been for years).
