When fully maxed and forged, barricades are stronger than blockades, so why do most top players use blockades? I understand sometimes the special Cursed Cenotaph boost (Mummies come from the destroyed blockade) is sometimes available, but is that why?
Guide on Obstacles: Barricade, Blockade, Spikes and Tips! As most of us know obstacles concurrently with towers to protect our precious bases, but most important is that sometimes they can directly being the main subjects of your base if you have them positioned well and also upgraded in an even better way! We are going to examine what are the best obstacles to use and best way to place them because it never hurts go back to the past! First of all, different type of base designs allow hundreds of combinations for your obstacles, but there are main rules that a player must follow in each type of base and we will take a close look after a nice introduction of all those three types of obstacles. What we will learn today: Barricade and Tough Barricade are weak to fire and blunt damage so use the appropriate troops and spells that have these damages. It is true that when you have the elite bonus up and running Tough Barricades are really difficult to get through! But I hate having to swap them out every time the bonus wears off! And obviously Tough Barricades were created to make the Barricades a useful item! So I'm going to recommend another way to balance them. When I'm going through a base, often one hammer strike can hit 2 or 3 blockages/barricades. If though barricades had only a 50% weakness to blunt attacks I wouldn't be able to knock them all down at once. I'd have to alternate fire and blunt attack! Which would make creative mixes of blockades and barricades more useful. Plus it is more logical wood is more elastic and would be more resilient to blunt force then something like iron, cement, or most stone.
